For us, every day is Earth Day. 8 simple ways to contribute today!

Updated: Apr 4, 2021

We would like to recognise and thank Great Global Cleanup for their work, information and efforts, check them out here: https://cleanup.earthday.org/

If you feel the same, here are actions and tips to make a difference, every day of the year.

  1. Plastic pollution is one of the most important environmental problems that we face today. Calculate your personal plastic consumption, then use the tips to help break free from single-use plastics!

  2. Stop using take away utensils - plastic knives, forks, spoons and straws and containers. Keep a set of reusable utensils wrapped in a beeswax wrap, stored in your bag, car or work drawer. Repurpose any plastic containers for as long as possible.

  3. Enjoy spending time outside? Support the Great Global Cleanup and pick up trash while enjoying your outdoor activities. It is a great way to save that plastic bottle cap from the landfill while you are on your morning walk!

  4. Stop deforestation by supporting companies that take an active role against it. And, this Earth Day, consider donating to The Canopy Project, where every dollar plants a tree.

  5. Change your paper bills to online billing. You’ll be saving trees and the fuel it takes to deliver your bills by truck. Donate to The Canopy Project today to help save our forests!

  6. Help protect pollinators by pledging to go pesticide-free! We need pollinators to ensure the persistence of our crop yields and ensure healthy sustainable ecosystems now and in the future.

  7. Save the butterflies and bees! Help contribute to meaningful scientific research on pollinator populations through the Global Earth Challenge mobile application. It’s as easy as snapping a picture.

  8. Join www.earthday.org TODAY, be apart of the change.
