I love my Dalmatian Herbs & Cooking Experience; we have loads of fun, get a little messy, and everyone goes home with a full belly and an eco-friendly gift from my shop!
We limit our public capacity to 8 people; private classes for larger groups can be arranged.
Upon arrival, savour a true Croatian welcome shot of Mikki's homemade Traverica rakija, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. Stroll through the garden, where friendly chickens roam freely and collect the eggs for your dessert. Grab the scissors; it's time to pick fresh herbs for nut-free pesto to serve with your appetiser. Roll up your sleeves, put on your apron and gloves, pour yourself a glass of domestic wine and let's begin. Challenge yourself to make your main course SARMA (stuffed sour cabbage leaves) before enjoying a glass of wine as you cook. Dive into dessert-making with Hrostule (twisted pastry), perfectly paired with my own infused sugar powders. But you will have to wait for them to go cold as we package them for you to take home. Lastly, delight in the aromas of preparing your fresh garden Pesto. Now it is time to sit and enjoy your labour of love. We can chat about Dubrovnik's attractions and delve into Mikki's 20+ year journey as an Aussie immigrant in this captivating place. Grab a glass of wine, plate up your starter - zucchini patties with pesto; your sarma is served with homemade potato salad, fresh garden salad and fresh bread. To end the evening, collect your dessert to take home and toast to a safe departure with your choice of Mikki's homemade liqueur. Feel free to browse through or purchase our artisanal products, perfect as thoughtful souvenirs of your Croatian experience.
As a thank you for attending the workshop, don't forget you will also take home a homemade eco-friendly product sample.
So whenever you are in Dubrovnik, please book in; I look forward to meeting you.
Cheers, Mikki
