Rakija

A Traditional Croatian Liquor, Rakija is produced from fermented and distilled grapes following the wine grape harvest. You can Leave Rakija as it is, a clear high alcohol spirit, Flavour it by steeping with herbs creating Travarica or Sweeten it with fruits turning it into liqueurs, Orahovica, Mirta & Limmoncello. Each with their own medicinal & digestive purposes.

All of the Rakija produced in our valley is for private consumption or sold privately there is no exporting or mass commercial production. This means that Rakija making is very much a process where family & friends come together to Harvest, Ferment, Distil and of course enjoy the final product together.
